Samsung Announces Global Launch of Galaxy Z Flip5, Galaxy Z Fold5, Galaxy Watch6 Series and Galaxy Tab S9 Series

Samsung’s new generation of foldables, watches and tablets pushes the boundaries of user experience

SEOUL, Korea – August 10, 2023 – Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. today announced the global availability of its highly anticipated Galaxy Z Flip5, Galaxy Z Fold5, Galaxy Watch6 series and Galaxy Tab S9 series.

The Galaxy Z Flip5 and Galaxy Z Fold5 are the fifth generation of Samsung’s revolutionary foldable devices, delivering unique experiences through perfected designs and form factors, including the new Flex Hinge. The two innovative devices have seen strong demand across the globe, with record-breaking pre-order numbers in markets such as Latin America, Southeast Asia and Europe, with 65% of consumers opting for the iconic Galaxy Z Flip5. 


Offering in-depth sleep analysis, personalized fitness insights and comprehensive wellness features in addition to powerful performance and larger displays that inspire better health and well-being, the Galaxy Watch6 and Galaxy Watch6 Classic have been welcomed around the world, with equally high demand for both products. 

The Galaxy Tab S9 series is available in three models: the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra, S9+ and S9. The series offers a one-of-a-kind tablet experience thanks to its industry-leading Dynamic AMOLED 2X displays, an IP68 rating across all three models and the in-box S Pen. Of the customers who have pre-ordered the Galaxy Tab S9 series, 60% have pre-ordered the Tab S9 Ultra. The Galaxy Z Flip5, Galaxy Z Fold5, Galaxy Watch6 series, and Galaxy Tab S9 series will be available in selected markets, including Europe, North America, China and Korea on August 11, with launches planned for additional countries soon.

The Galaxy Z Flip5 is offered in colors inspired by nature: Mint, Graphite, Cream and Lavender — as well as a range of accessories including a Clear Gadget Case and Flipsuit Case¹. The Galaxy Z Fold5 will be available in a selection of sophisticated colors: Icy Blue, Phantom Black and Cream — with new accessories including a Slim S Pen Case² that offers both practicality and style. The Galaxy Watch6 comes in two size options: 44mm in Graphite and Silver, and 40mm in Graphite and Gold. The Galaxy Watch6 Classic, with its fan-favorite rotating bezel, is available in 43mm and 47mm sizes, in Black and Silver. 

The Galaxy Tab S9 series comes in two colors — Beige and Graphite³ — and is available in three sizes: 14.6-inch for the Tab S9 Ultra, 12.4-inch for the Tab S9+, and 11-inch for the Tab S9⁴.
