Samsung Powered Three Days of Wellness, Running and Skateboarding in Paris With Wearable Technologies

October 17, 2025

Under Paris’s autumn skies, the French capital came alive during the Vredestein 20 km de Paris from Oct. 10-12. Samsung hosted multiple pop-up experiences like a Street League Skateboarding (SLS) competition and a Health Immersion Session, showcasing how wearables are evolving into essential tools for performance, recovery, and connection.

Health and Wellness at the Forefront with Galaxy Watch8

Samsung’s Health Immersion Session put health and wellness in the spotlight during the marathon weekend. Led by global health experts, the program offered a closer look at how Galaxy Watch8 supports everyday health:

  • Explored how guided meditation helps support holistic health and mindfulness with Dr. Julie Smith, a clinical psychologist and bestselling author.
  • Looked at how sleep and exercise influence brain health, recovery, and stress resilience with Dr. Dong-seon Chang, a renowned brain scientist.
  • Highlighted the importance and impact of healthy eating and nutrition for overall well-being with Nisha Melvani, a registered dietician and nutritionist.

Hands-On Experiences During the Vredestein 20 km de Paris

At the Vredestein 20 km de Paris Expo, Galaxy Watch8 and Samsung Health took center stage as visitors engaged in interactive activities that showcased how wearable technology enhances running performance and recovery:

  • Running: Visitors measured their heart rate capability with Galaxy Watch8 while running on a self-powered treadmill.
  • Sleep Insights: Discovered their sleep animal and received tips for better sleep based on their sleep patterns.
  • Antioxidant Index: Measured their Antioxidant Index level using Galaxy Watch8 and received immediate insights into nutrition through carotenoid level analysis that reflect individual fruit and vegetable intake.
  • Selfie with Personal Goal: A photo wall invited participants to capture and share their race aspirations.

Samsung's RunnerzZz Program united a global community of passionate runners from seven countries, spreading the spirit of “Sleep Better, Run Better”. Participants experienced Galaxy Watch8 firsthand during pre-race jogs and the 20km race. By sharing their experiences on social media, these runners inspired others to adopt healthier lifestyles supported by wearable technology.

The weekend wrapped with the 20km race, where thousands of runners filled the city’s streets. After crossing the finish line, participants were invited to celebrate and recover in the Samsung Health Victory Selfie Zone.
