Samsung Electronics has been named to Fast Company’s 2026 Most Innovative Companies list, ranking No. 7 in the Corporate Social Responsibility category for Ocean Mode,1 a customized and innovative Galaxy camera feature designed to support coral reef monitoring and restoration.
The list shines a spotlight on businesses across various sectors and regions that are shaping industry and culture through their innovations. Samsung’s inclusion underscores how purposeful mobile technology, built on open collaboration, can contribute to advancing coral reef restoration for local communities around the world.
Ocean Mode was developed in partnership with Seatrees and the Scripps Institution of Oceanography at the University of California San Diego to support coral reef monitoring and restoration. Originally developed for the exclusive use of the partnership, Samsung is now bringing Ocean Mode to Galaxy users — starting from the Galaxy S26 series, it is available through Expert RAW. Expanding access to this feature reflects Samsung’s belief that meaningful technology can enrich users’ everyday lives as well as inspire more people to take action.
