About The Cool Circuit
Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd has partnered with Vogue magazine, the world’s foremost fashion authority, to create a campaign that showcases some of the biggest trends of 2014.
“Samsung is coming out with the Galaxy S5, Gear Fit, and Gear 2, and we’re pairing those with strong fashion pieces to create a summer accessories story called The Cool Circuit,” says Vogue Studio Creative Director, Delphine Gesquiere. From ignited white to sparked-up silver, the Vogue summer trends are charged with electricity, the perfect preface for the Samsung story. By styling the Samsung Galaxy S5 and Gear series—in several colors and with exclusive cases, bands and charms by Moschino, Nicholas Kirkwood and Swarovski—along with accessory designers such as R.J. Graziano and Kenneth Jay Lane, The Cool Circuit catapults Samsung to high-fashion status.
The campaign also raises consumer awareness of the Galaxy S5 and Gear device’s innovative features, such as the heart rate sensor and water-resistance. “The Galaxy S5 camera is amazing,” says Cool Circuit photographer, Nagi Sakai. “I’m still blown away by the quality of the screen, plus the texture on the back.”
The Cool Circuit is running as a six-panel insert in the Vogue June issue. Interactive units featuring a cinemagraph and behind-the-scenes video are being promoted on Vogue.com. An interview with the photographer plus blogs and posts from the model are increasing awareness via social media channels. A Samsung lookbook featuring outtakes from the photoshoot, as well as international print editions, are also available.
